A. Consul General Donald Bramante visited the "Agios Nektarios" foundation in Sidirokastro and participated in the honoring ceremony of seven American volunteers, members of the "Global Volunteers" organization, who came from all over the United States and offered their services to the foundation for two weeks. The volunteers were warmly welcomed by the townspeople who paid tribute to their efforts by honoring them with the city's medal and organizing a festive event to celebrate their giving. This was the second team of the "Global Volunteers" to come to this remote area of Northern Greece. More teams are planned for the coming year.
