Ambassador Charles P. Ries Visits Thessaloniki – Attends AmCham Annual Event

Ambassador Ries visited Thessaloniki and joined Minister of Macedonia and Thrace, local authorities, American Hellenic Chamber board members and friends in the annual, traditional "Vasilopita Cutting" at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.

Earlier in the day, Ambassador Ries visited with Minister of Macedonia and Thrace Yiorgos Kallantzis and discussed relations between the two countries and other issues of mutual concern. The Ambassador had the opportunity to visit the Museum of Byzantine Culture, and give an interview to ET-3 "Anihnefseis" political talk show. During his interview, the Ambassador characterized U.S. – Greek relations as "better than ever."
