"Bright Balkan Morning"

Opening of Photo Exhibit "Bright Balkan Morning" in Veria
September 30 - October 20, 2005

The American Consulate General in cooperation with the Photography Museum of Thessaloniki and the American Corner of the Veria Public Library, with the support of the Municipality of Veria organized a photo exhibit titled "Bright Balkan Morning" by the American photographer and University of Wisconsin Professor Dick Blau.

For the opening of the exhibit, a group of musicians and dancers from the region of Irakleia, Serres, the region where Dick Blau worked for this photo series and his book Bright Balkan Morning, traveled to Veria, with the assistance of the Municipality of Irakleia and performed music and dances from their area as shown on the photos.
