Congresswoman Shelley Berkley in Thessaloniki

Congresswoman Shelley Berkley, (D-NV), visited Thessaloniki {where her family used to live in the area of Agias Sophias street} in a trip to pay her respect to the land of her forefathers. During her visit, she paid a courtesy call to Mayor Papageorgopoulos.

U.S. Representative Berkley visited the Holocaust Monument (in memoriam of the 50,000 Thessaloniki Jews who perished in Nazi camps) accompanied by the President of the Council for Hellenes Abroad, Andrew Athens and the President of the Israeli Community of Thessaloniki David Saltiel.
