U.S. Consulate to be Closed October 11, 2004
Athens (October 4, 2004) -- The U. S. Embassy in Athens, including the Consular Section, the U. S. Consulate General in Thessaloniki, and all U. S. Government offices in Greece will be closed on Monday, October 11, 2004 in observance of Columbus Day, a U.S. national holiday.
The Consular Section of the American Embassy in Athens will also be closed for the public on Friday, October 8.
