U.S. Embassy Closed, but Consular Section Open on Christmas Eve Day

In response to public demand during this busy holiday season, the U.S. Embassy consular section will be open for visa, passport, citizen services and federal benefits functions on Christmas Eve Day while the rest of the Embassy is closed for business. The Consular Section is doing everything possible to assist American citizens and to ensure that all those who qualify for a U.S. visa are able to travel on time.

The Consular Section will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on December 24 but closed on December 25 and 26. Other sections of the U.S. Embassy in Athens will be closed from December 24 – 26 in observance of the Christmas holiday.
