A brief description of the Consulate

The Consulate General occupies a purpose-built suite on the 7th floor of a new commercial office building on the city's major commercial artery.

The Consulate General new building was built in 1999.
Office hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (Greek and American holidays excluded).

The new office space is modern, well lit, disabled-accessible, and fully climate-controlled. In addition to the usual offices, meeting rooms, and consular waiting area, the location has a multipurpose space used to host cultural events and exhibits.

Two American officers staff the Consulate General, along with an American administrative assistant. The Consulate employs fifteen local-hire employees who have public diplomacy, administrative, IT systems, maintenance, and transportation duties and has a guard staff of twenty eight.
A Foreign Area Officer (a U.S. Army officer who maintains an office at the Consulate) attends the Greek War College in Thessaloniki.

Consulate Public Hours 9:00 - 13:00 noon, every Tuesday-&-Thursday.
