About Robert D. King
Robert D. King assumed his duties as Deputy Principal Officer at the U.S. Consulate General in Thessaloniki in July 2007. He also serves as Political/ Administrative Officer.
From 2004 to 2006, Mr. King was Political/Economic Section Chief at the U.S. Consulate General in Chennai, India and before that he worked as a Consular Officer at the U.S. Consulate in Hermosillo, Mexico.
Before joining the Department of State, Mr. King worked for many years at Boston-based Liberty Mutual Group, a Fortune 500 diversified global insurance company, where he served as Vice President and Manager of Commercial Markets Financial Operations. He is accompanied in Thessaloniki by his wife Bonnie. They have three grown children who reside in the Boston area.
