U.S. Consulate Sponsors Earth Day Event in Thessaloniki
On Sunday April 22, Consulate Thessaloniki staff along with students and staff from the American Farm School cleaned up a park in downtown Thessaloniki in observance of Earth Day 2007. Local TV interviewed CG Yee, students and local officials who attended the event. The initiative raised awareness about America’s interest in the environment and in citizen involvement. The event was covered positively by local press and the Municipal TV channel.
