Childrens winning Artwork for Earth Day Contest.

International Earth Day Art Contest

In April 2007, 50 students from Anatolia, Pinewood and De La Salle schools of Thessaloniki participated in the U.S. Department of State planned and sponsored International Art Contest in honor of Earth Day 2007.

Students in three different age groups (10-11, 12-13, and 14-15) submitted beautiful and inspirational art work that conveys an important message about the need to respect the environment, based on the theme, "What is important to you about our environment?"

The U.S. Consulate General of Thessaloniki chose one art work per age category to represent Greece in the International Contest.


The winners were:

Age 10-11: Nicole Passia

Age 12-13:Christov Anastasiadis
(De La Salle)
Age_14-15:Ornella_Akrivopoulou
(Pinewood International School)
