ConGen Supports Fulbright and International Education Week
Consul General Yee and Consulate staff observed International Education Week by supporting two events that informed local students about opportunities to study in the United States. The Consulate helped organize a seminar entitled “Destination USA” with the Fulbright Foundation. More than 120 university students participated in the event, which included presentations by the local Fulbright Educational Advisor and Fulbright and American Universities Alumni. Consul General Yee greeted the audience and offered them an overview of the competitive edge and excellence of American education.. Also, the Consulate hosted an event for students interested in studying at Yale University. Yale student Yannis Legmpelos offered advice and information to high school students of northern Greece on the opportunities of studying abroad on scholarship.
