Guiding Principles of U.S. Foreign Policy

Renowned scholar Walter Russell Mead offered his insight to a group of university students on the "Guiding Principles of U.S. Foreign Policy" and analyzed his theory of the rise of super-powers in the world. Mead focused on the principles of promoting of values such as democracy and open and free society, the rule of law, freedom of information, combating corruption, respect for private property. In a bold lecture, he announced to the students the five ways to "conquer" the world", or as he said the "secret plan for world domination." Those ways include being a capitalist, dynamic society, having a global economic approach, having a geo-strategic plan, "wielding the net" or using you system as a political tool, and promoting liberal institutions and values. Mead’s lecture caused major interest by students and scholars present at the lecture, springing a lively discussion afterwards and some food for thought.
