Gloria "I will Survive" Gaynor Sings in Thessaloniki
Consul General Hoyt Yee hosted a luncheon at his residence in honor of disco queen Gloria Gaynor, attended by Prefect Psomiadis, President of the Megaron Music Hall Alexandros Bakatselos, representatives of the Thessaloniki Municipality, cultural reporters, and Consulate employees. All participants welcomed Gloria to the city of Thessaloniki and showed her the warmth of "Greek – American" hospitality and friendship.
Later that evening, Gloria performed live at the Earth Theater for about 4,000 spectators who enjoyed her classic hits as well as some new ones.
