Memorial Tribute to Marshall Plan Volunteer Bruce Lansdale

On June 17, the American Farm School held a memorial event paying tribute to one of the towering figures in Greek-American relations, Bruce Lansdale, who helped deliver food and livestock to Greece in 1947 as a Marshall Plan volunteer and served for 35 years as Farm School President.   In a speech about Lansdale’s contributions, CG Hoyt Yee told an audience of 500 that the best way to honor Lansdale was to continue his work, noting the need for constant renewal of the bonds that Lansdale helped cultivate between Greece and America.
