Dan Georgakas, Film Critic and Professor at NYU and Queens College spoke about Recent Greek-American Literary Successes, at an event organized and hosted by the Veria Public Library on May 12, 2004.

Prof. Georgakas spoke about the works, popularity and wide public acceptance of Greek-American writers such as Helen Papanikolas, Jeffrey Eugenides and George Pelecanos who cover different literary subjects ranging from fiction to detective stories.

Prof. Georgakas was in Thessaloniki to participate in a Cinema Museum tribute of the “Black List Films of the McCarthy Era.”
