The Fulbright Alumni of Northern Greece organized a lecture on November 15, 2006 on "The Turn of the 20th Century through the eyes of Jack London" with Fulbright Visiting Scholar Jeanne Reesman, Ashbel Smith Professor, University of Texas at San Antonio and Professor George Katsaggelos, Dean of the Fine Arts Department, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Dr. Reesman spoke about the interesting life of well known author Jack London and his other endeavors which included travel and photographs, presenting to the audience a side of the author that is not widely known, and presented his work at the turn of the century from England, from the Russo-Japanese war, from the San Francisco earthquake and from the South Seas, while professor Katsaggelos commented on the photos.
