The U.S. Consulate General organized a digital video conference with Washington DC and Athens to discuss the results of the Midterm Elections in the United States. Consul General Hoyt Yee, Dr. Theodosis Karvounarakis of the University of Macedonia and Dr. David Wisner of the American College of Thessaloniki led a lively discussion on the outcome and the importance of the midterm elections, focusing on the American political system. In Washington D.C., panelists Richard Urey, Chief of Staff, Office of Representative Shelley Berkley, Democrat, Nevada and John J. Rhodes f. Member of Congress, Republican, Arizona offered their analysis of the midterm elections.
