Future Journalists Learn about New and Social Media
On October 8, New Media guru Eric Schwartzman from Los Angeles and Professor Jay David Bolter from Georgia Tech presented the role of new and social media and the future of traditional journalism to an engaged group of university students from the Mass Media and Journalism Department of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Students were eager to learn about the new developments of augmented reality technology, grassroots journalism, and a more participatory world that is user generated. The speakers offered students the opportunity to engage in a lively dialogue about responsible journalism and current trends prevailing in the United States in the media scene.
