Ambassador Ries Speaks on "Trade and Investment in Greece:  Opportunities and Challenges"

At a dinner organized by the American Universities Graduates Association of Northern Greece, Ambassador Ries gave a speech on challenges and opportunities for foreign investment in Greece for an audience of about 400 people, including ministers, mayors, deputies, businessmen, academics. The Ambassador described obstacles facing potential investors, improvements needed in order to attract foreign businesses, and a few “success stories”. He also urged business people to be more active in promoting reforms and attracting investors, and expressed his optimism for growth in investment in northern Greece due to its strategic geographical location.
