10th Annual American Studies Seminar
Cycles of Change in American Politics and CultureOn April 23-28, the U.S. Consulate General in Thessaloniki organized the 10th American Studies Seminar in cooperation with the University of Macedonia, the Hellenic Association of American Studies, and with the support of the Municipality of Thessaloniki. Former Governor Michael Dukakis, DCM Thomas Countryman, Consul General Yee, and American Professors Paul Levine and David Goldfield were among the guest speakers. Over 100 students from Macedonia and Aristotle Universities attended this seminar entitled “Cycles of Change in American Politics and Culture” and provided students with in-depth analysis of the American political system and history spanning WWII, the Cold War, the current war on terror, as well as U.S. relations with the EU and Greece.
