U.S. Consulate General Outreach to Thessaly

On Friday, March 16 Consulate staff visited Larissa, the fourth largest Greek city, located in the largest agricultural area of Greece. The Consul General discussed U.S.-Greek relations with local authorities, presidents of the local Rotary Clubs, and journalists. Discussions focused on opportunities for American investment in the region, including in biofuels. Consul General Yee also met with the commander and staff of the U.S. National Support Element, which provides support to U.S. NATO military personnel and their families in Larissa.

The city of Larissa has a longstanding sister-city relationship with Knoxville, Tennessee.
